Self Evaluation
I learned a lot through the editing process. The one thing I would change is the clarity of the video and some of the angles. Filming the game was difficult and there was a referee in the way of many of my shots. This is something I can not control but in the future I would like to be able to position myself differently at the games to get better angles. I also think it could have been more effective if I were closer for some of the celebration shots but again, I could not control that because I was not aloud on the field. Overall, I am happy with how our video turned out. This was my first time using Final Cut or creating any kind of video. I was glad that we were able to get some good footage and create a motivational video.
Production Log
Getting the footage
Filming a lacrosse game was very difficult. It is a fast moving sport and we had to be careful how far we zoomed in. We took several trail videos to get an idea of what shots would be good and what was the best lighting. We finally decided to use the film from a game at 6pm. The lighting was bright at first but by the second half, the glare was not as strong. We had in mind what type of shots we wanted to take. We wanted to get footage of some goals, celebrations, and huddles. The game was intense but luckily, TCNJ won and we got some great shots of the girls celebrating.
Editing
We wanted to tell a story in our video about the journey from defeat to victory. At first we were not sure how to do this but we decided to use newspaper articles and inspirational quotes. We had some trouble getting the firewire for our camera and documenting the original footage. Once we got past these problems, we were able to edit our video. We used the article of when the team lost to open up the video and then a quote to lead into the rest of the story. We chose to use the song "Don't Stop Believing" in the background. We felt that the beat and lyrics went well with our storyline. The last shot was of the girls celebrating. We slowed down the speed to 50% and added the credits.

Final Project Proposal
I will be working with Aaron on the final project. We are going to cover the TCNJ Women's Lacrosse Team and create a motivational video. They recently lost a big game and we wanted to create a video about perseverance and fighting back. We wanted to make the video from a fan's perspective.

Self Evaluation
Overall, I am happy with how my portfolio turned out. I had no prior experience with Photoshop before this class but was able to apply a lot of the tools that I have learned over the last couple weeks. I was still not completely happy with my composition. In particular, I had trouble with the gazebo and the lighting. I would like to continue working on that image and finding different ways to fix any problems. My favorite was the warp wood. I was glad I could exaggerate warping without losing any details of the image. I would have liked to do some kind of theme but could not come up with one in time. In the future I would like to create a themed project with everything I have learned this semester.
